about
Combining their love for music, art and minimalism, Leon Rebok and Simon Braun formed the German rock duo “Versus the Obsidian Octopus” in 2019. Jam sessions quickly evolved into demo tracks and the idea of recording a first EP was born. Eventually, one week of intense DIY recording resulted in the self-titled debut EP “Versus the Obsidian Octopus”. The record fuses influences from different genres which creates a musical foundation for the 16-minutes spoken-word narrative about humanity, earth and the Obsidian Octopus.
